St. Andrew’s Orthodoxy 101 is designed to serve both as a Catechism course for those preparing to join the Orthodox Church and as class for the faithful and those interested to deepen their knowledge of Orthodox Christianity. It begins with a focus on Holy Tradition and its component parts (Bible, Councils, Fathers, Worship, Saints, Canon Law, etc.) and moves on to explore the Faith and Practice in Orthodoxy. Emphasis will be placed on the Nicene Creed and Ecumenical Councils, Sacraments, Worship and the liturgical year, and Orthodox Christian life.
For more information, and to register, contact Fr. Simeon Johnson.
Adult Religious Education at St. Andrew’s offers variety and is often synced with the liturgical year. Every Fall and Spring, there is a seven-week series that meets at 8pm, on Wednesdays, both live and online. This semester, we will focus on Salvation & Theosis..
