St. Andrew’s Orthodoxy 101 is designed to serve both as a Catechism course for those preparing to join the Orthodox Church and as class for the faithful and those interested to deepen their knowledge of Orthodox Christianity. It begins with a focus on Holy Tradition and its component parts (Bible, Councils, Fathers, Worship, Saints, Canon Law, etc.) and moves on to explore the Faith and Practice in Orthodoxy. Emphasis will be placed on the Nicene Creed and Ecumenical Councils, Sacraments, Worship and the liturgical year, and Orthodox Christian life.
Classes run from September 16-November 4, 2026 from 6-7pm each week.

Join us for St. Andrew’s eight-part Fall Series, “Modern Orthodox Saints.” This Series is led by Rev. Dr. Simeon Johnson, Ph.D.
Sessions run from 8-9:30pm each week, September 15-November 4 in St. Andrew’s President’s Room and online by Zoom.
All parishes are invited to join the Clergy of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago as they bless the Waters of Lake Michigan then throw the Cross for the youth to retrieve. There will be a BBQ lunch at Saint Andrew’s to follow.
Adults 55+ are invited to join us for a fun-filled afternoon, Thursday, October 1 for a Greek Cuisine-inspired Luncheon, music from Peter Oprisko, and great fellowship. All adults in our neighborhood, community, and Parish Family are invited.
Registration is at 11:30pm, lunch at 12 noon. Tickets are available at the door for $15.
