Lenten Presanctified Liturgy, Dinner, & Lecture Series | Images of the Messiah
Join us for the six Wednesdays of Great & Holy Lent for our Annual Anne & Theodore Phillips Lenten Lecture Series, “Images of the Messiah”. Attendees can join us via zoom as well.
Each week, the schedule will be as follows:

Conference: The Ministry of Women in the Church
This is a one day conference featuring our Keynote speaker, Elizabeth Prodromou, Lunch, and a panel of six speakers, all addressing the topic of The Ministry of Women in the Church. Our purpose is to gain a picture of the various kinds of ministries women offer in the Church, discussing both the difficulties and the joys/benefits in implementing and practicing these ministries, and envisioning the path forward for ministry by women in the Church.

Adult Religious Education | The Divine Liturgy
Adult Religious Education at St. Andrew’s offers variety and is often synced with the liturgical year. Every Fall and Spring, there is a seven-week series that meets at 8pm, on Wednesdays, both live and online. This semester, we will focus on the Divine Liturgy.

Orthodoxy 101
This class has a dual intention. For those for want to enter the Holy Orthodox Church through Baptism or Chrismation, it will serve as their basic preparation and will provide them with the essential information that they need to live within the Church. For those who are already Orthodox, this class will deepen and formalize their understanding and participation in their Faith.
Orthodoxy 101 begins on Wednesday, January 8th and runs seven consecutive weeks through Wednesday, February 19th. All classes are from 6-7pm, meeting in Fr. Simeon’s office at. St. Andrew’s.

Parish Family Night | Lions vs. Bears

STAG Winter GOYA Lock-in
Join us for our Winter STAG GOYA Lock-in, for all 6th-12th Graders of St. Andrew's and St. George, beginning at 8pm on Friday, December 13, until 8am on Friday, December 14 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church (STAG GOAL Games to follow). Activities will include:

SAWPS Trivia Night | A Sparkling Good Time!
Philoptochos is very excited abput this year’s major fundraiser, a Sparkling Good Time! On Saturday, December 7th, in place of our annual dinner dance, our major fundraiser for the year will be a glitzy, entertaining, trivia night, complete with dinner, dancing and a DJ, in our very own S. J. Gregory Auditorium. Please mark your calendars and join us for this new event. Invite your family and friends to come for this fun night! Not only will it be an opportunity to gather for fun fellowship, but this event provides Philoptochos with the revenue it needs to fund the next year’s budget of philanthropy. Christmas Toy Drive
SAWPS is hosting its Annual Christmas Toy Drive, November 24-December 15. Bring an unwrapped gift in the original packaging to help spread some cheer to a child in the hospital this Christmas Season.

Orthodoxy 101
St. Andrew’s Orthodoxy 101 is designed to serve both as a Catechism course for those preparing to join the Orthodox Church and as class for the faithful and those interested to deepen their knowledge of Orthodox Christianity. It begins with a focus on Holy Tradition and its component parts (Bible, Councils, Fathers, Worship, Saints, Canon Law, etc.) and moves on to explore the Faith and Practice in Orthodoxy. Emphasis will be placed on the Nicene Creed and Ecumenical Councils, Sacraments, Worship and the liturgical year, and Orthodox Christian life.

The Annual St. Andrew’s Golf Outing is an opportunity for our parish to enjoy a day of fellowship and fun, while supporting the ministries of St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church. All are invited to golf, offer a sponsorship, and join us for dinner. For our non-golfers, dinner packages are available as well. This year’s Golf Outing will be held Thursday, August 22 at Chevy Chase Golf Club in Wheeling, registration at 11:30am. Registration and Sponsorship information can be found with the link provided.

2024 Sunday School Registration
Join us for 2024 Sunday School here at St. Andrew’s! Registration is now open on a rolling basis. September 8th we will have a blessing of the backpacks, and classes begin September 15.

Vacation Church Camp
Join us for our 2024 St. Andrew's Vacation Church Camp! We look forward to hosting our preschool to 8th graders for a faith and fun filled week, August 12-16, 2024, 9am-noon each day. Activities will include:
-Learning more about the Theotokos, with our theme "Panagia's Garden"
-Arts & Crafts connected to our theme
-Fun time playing at the park/splash pad and in the gym
